Tomorrow, Supernatural: The Complete Fourth Season comes out on DVD and Blu-ray. I already have my copy and it’s great to see the show without all those CW crawls all over the bottom but I’m not so happy about the packaging and the special features. You can read my full review at DVD Verdict tomorrow, along with the Blu-ray review by one of my cohorts, David Johnson. David jokes that he may be the only male fan that follows the show but I heard there were three others at the convention in Vancouver this past weekend.

Warehouse 13 continues to set rating records for Syfy. The show’s sixth episode, “Burnout,” which aired on Aug. 11, was the most watched series telecast in the network’s 17-year history, with a total viewership of 4.4 million.

J.J. Abrams’ big-screen reboot of the Star Trek franchise grabbed the most nominations of any sci-fi, fantasy or horror project this year as the Scream Awards finalists were announced, with nods in 17 categories.
The blockbuster film was recognized not only for Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Director (J.J. Abrams) and both Best Breakout Performance: Female and Best Science Fiction Actress (Zoe Saldana), but also in such categories as the Fight to the Death Scene of the Year (for Kirk vs. Spock), and the Holy S–t! Scene of the Year (for the space dive onto orbital drill).

Twitter has really hit the big time! For the first time in broadcast history, Fox is arranging a Twitter party for two of their top shows — Fringe and Glee.
During this week’s repeat episodes, cast and crew members from both shows will sign on to Twitter for a Tweet-Peat Party that will then scroll on the special Twitter website and on air.
The Fringe event happens Thursday, Sept. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) with Glee on Friday, Sept. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
